Greetings Runners!
Now that the eternal conflict between the Greens, Grays and Browns has officially kicked off, it's high time some units started forming.
The 1st Brigade Combat Team (Mechanized) is open to recruits! 1/BCT is a loose knit squad focused on having fun and kicking ♥♥♥ with effective combined arms tactics in the RWR universe. The casualty rates in this conflict are particularly high, so this is a volunteer only squad open to all serious Runners, as only the most steadfast soldiers will be drawn to such hazardous duty.
Join the Brigade Combat Team! 1/BCT only recently reached Initial Operating Capability, and dozens of volunteers have already arrived with their unit transfer papers in order. 1/BCT is looking for both veterans and newcomers who are interested in a casual, teamwork oriented group for coordinated play and tactical innovation. The intent is for the unit to become a reservoir of tactical skills, able to offer competent soldiers for the most specialized of combat tasks. As the unit is just now starting to form, there is a particular need for experienced RWR officers, to form a core of skilled leaders who can help shape our raw recruits into effective mechanized specialists.
1st BCT Unit Composition1/BCT is comprised of teamwork-oriented soldiers interested in refining the effective use of modern combined arms tactics in RWR. Given the reality that vehicles are unavailable in many tactical situations, soldiers assigned to 1/BCT should also be proficient in small unit infantry tactics and the use of various tactical aids such as fortifications, artillery and AI squad management.
Combat Skills:While this is an elite combat organization, it is open to all interested soldiers regardless of rank or experience. Teamwork is the core skill expected of all 1/BCT members, as coordination and communication are the foundation of success on the RWR battlefield. Overall proficiency with weapons systems, vehicles and a range of small unit and mechanized tactics are all critical areas of skill development.
Tasking:1/BCT soldiers should generally focus on several main combat roles. Vehicle tasks will fall into three main categories, with Special Operations being an additional and relatively infrequent responsibility. As we are all soldiers in the same army, specific General Infantry (GI) roles will often take priority over vehicle missions.
