what difference does that make other than to disconnect instead? that method is already pretty similar to what you just suggested.

nah dude, why not just disable friendly fire from explosives? its a win win. with that, no exploitation of the tk and no griefers going on a bombing spree fragging other players.

that way the only thing we worry about is being run over by other players in cars, its more unpredictable and terrifying. that is also much less possible to exploit.

It will reduce the fun factor. Its similar to reducing difficulty of the game, like making bots do no damage to you, because they can kill you.
I think teamkilling explosives are more fun for multiple reasons, and ways to grief with them are really not that annoying, unless you lose something like a Lahti to a teamkilling thief.
This is ofc my personal opinion.

I would say 80% only. We still get people who just go online and do nothing but troll other players. Experienced it myself first-handed.
