That's great! Have you tried different video modes or antialias settings? The marker you have in the screenshot looks a bit low detailed to me, you might want to launch "Configure Running with rifles" in the Start menu again to try enabling antialias or increasing the resolution.

Other than that, that's what the marker is.

If you're curious about why the marker is hovering above the ground in your screenshot there, it's because you're currently aiming on the ground, and the game is making a guess that you don't really want to shoot at ground there but ~1.5m above it, so you'd possibly hit enemies behind the position you're aiming at.

The idea is to aim directly at enemies with the crosshair as much as possible to tell the game what is it that you want to shoot. The marker will then show where your bullets most likely hit, to help getting an idea if there's something between you and your target.

I think it's something to do with the value I put in. Tried another value and now the line of sight appears a different place than the previous. Tried different resloution and alliansing. Didn't work

The value I gave you is the one that should be used. You can use different values, but it only affects the speed and too high values tend to make things erratic.

The helper works a bit differently according to the type of the target you're aiming at with your crosshair.
