Post subject:  Game crashes at 4% loading. Fixed
This game works fine on my old laptop but not on my new computer. It loads to 4%, then crashes.
I use the website https://www.systemrequirementslab.com and just copied my computer info from there. There is a more detailed view, but it doesn't work so well just copy and pasting everything. Let me know if anyone wants that posted anyway.

Processor AMD Ryzen 7 1700 Eight-Core Processor

Video Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

RAM 8.0 GB

Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Professional Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit

The fix was changing the launch option in steam. Right click the game in steam library, select properties. At the bottom of the general tab is set launch options, click it and type opengl

Yes, click play in steam and you get two options, play game and configure. That's where I ran it from. Sorry about the slow reply, I didn't expect anything so quick.

Could you send the crashdump to support@osumiagames.com? The location where the dump is also has a file rwr_game.log, that would be helpful too!

For future reference, so far it's unknown why in Windows in some cases OpenGL works but DirectX 9.0c doesn't with RWR. At this point, RWR on Windows can be made to run with OpenGL by supplying opengl as launch parameter as mentioned in the first post.

Seems I'll be adding this as an easier option to pick in the config tool as it seems reinstalling DirectX 9.0c or upgrading graphics card driver hasn't helped with the issue in the few cases we've seen.
