It crashes by either completely freezing or blue screening. No error messages. I play in windowed mode and it doesn't help I have to restart my computer. Even the mouse freezes. It's not loading time as I have tried leaving it for tens of minutes at both the map loading and at other points of crashing. Crashing occurs at random, while playing, at startup, but always while changing maps. This is not an old computer and has a good video card and processor.

Well, here is the config log, I get a "the extension txt is not allowed" message when trying to attach them, so I don't see how I can post the game log, which is massive. The game log has a lot of spam in it too. This spam is ": Can't assign material *insert object* to SubEntity of Ogre/M####### because this Material does not exist. Have you forgotten to define it in a .material script?"

Example: : Can't assign material armored_truck to SubEntity of Ogre/MO14979 because this Material does not exist. Have you forgotten to define it in a .material script?

Please send rwr_game.log to pasi.kainiemi@modulaatio.com and I'll take a look.

The "spam" is a known issue, JackMayol should clean up the meshes from referring to materials one day :)

Thanks for the log Micro102. Unfortunately it doesn't hint much about anything, the crash happens just in the middle of nowhere with nothing indicative of an error case.

You seem to have OpenAL Generic Software device in use, which is good, it's stable and most of other people are using that too -- the other choice would've been that you would've had OpenAL hardware device drivers in use, which could've been worth to try disabling to prevent lockups.

When it crashes all the way to bluescreen, does it really state no error message at all there? As far as I know, a bluescreen always displays the error name and some other advice what to do, like e.g. here http://www.maximumpc.com/article/featur ... ival_guide.

I somehow missed to ask this, but do you have Windows Vista or 7?

Hmmm, no pop up errors but I haven't read the bluescreen itself. I'll go try to get it to blue screen (never thought I'd say that) again and write down what it says.

I have windows 7. A toshiba with a quad core and AMD graphics card. No integrated stuff.

Never had to deal with bluescreens myself extensively, but after reading a bit about them you might have a few files about the bluescreen stored on your hard drive, something similar to
C:\Windows\Minidump\103010-19500-01.dmp
C:\Users\my name\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-35303-0.sysdata.xml

If you have those, could you attach them to the thread/send them to me to look at?

Well it seems I nee a debugger program to access the dump file, and I don't have the temp file. I think it may be easier to just play until I get a bluescreen.

Well I can't get much use out of the blue screen. I would like to open up those dump files but there are many programs that use this and they look complicated. Do you guys have any recommendations on which program to use?
