when i press the mouse button to shoot, my player drops to prone position to shoot. will not shoot while standing or crouched

Hi woosdom and welcome to the RWR forums.

Please read the tutorials posted here: http://www.modulaatio.com/runningwithrifles/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=445

In short, the weapon you are using is the M240 machine gun which can only be fired from the prone position. If you pick up another gun, you will be able to fire on the move, and standing.
