I bought RwR a few months ago and I can't stop playing it,
although I do think that some extra additions to the base game
would be nice.

Here are a few suggestions that I think could improve the game:

- Weapons custumisation: granted, this would be VERY difficult to
implement in the game, but think of the possibilities; who wouldn't
want a silenced assault rifle with a sniper rifle scope. This would add
even more variety to the game. Add in changeable fire modes (semi,
burst or full auto) and you could end up with pretty interesting weapons!

- A sandbox mode/able to load modes in the tutorial map: this would be extremely
useful for mod developers.

- Improving the functionality of secondaries: for example, being able to redebloy
the stationary MG/TOW/Mortar/Minigun (I HATE having to run back to the armoury
just to get another MG when I deploy one in the wrong place), or that they have
ammo capacity (like the guns) and you have to manually reload them. Or not being
able to go prone when carrying a riot shield.

- More secondaries: NO, I'm not asking for more weapons because I don't really see
the need to. On the other hand, adding extra secondaries would be nice. For example,
a vehicle repair kit (or something like that), or maybe some binoculars for long range
reconnaissance/artillery strikes.

- Improved vehicles or adding new ones: like making the APC amphibious, or adding a
long range artillery vehicle.

- Adding extra game modes: I like the idea of playing a convoy/escort type mission,
or a d-day style mission where you have to complete specific objectives in order to
win.

Sandbox Mod mode- This would be pretty cool, just to know what mod you have up, and have all the vehicles in place. But it sounds useless when you test anything with the AI.

Secondary Functionality- I'd rather it be you can't redeploy it, so you have to tactically (maybe strategically) decide where it must be, because it's the deployment choice that can change anything. Allowing redeploy makes tactical MG placements not as useful, and can create problems regarding who can recover it. In short, I'm not for this one.

Improved/Adding Vehicles- Keep in mind that long-range artillery is limited to an effective range of a little over a sniper rifle range (due to the fact that what isn't immediately around you is in simulated combat), but such vehicles have been discussed. http://www.runningwithrifles.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2254

Damn thought I removed that steam image, it is way out of date.

Yeah I can not confirm nor deny binoculars but I can say that the files for them are complete.


Anyway the closest you may get to weapon attachments are rare weapons, for example the stoner LMG is just an m16 with a beta mag.

On secondary weapons, one can modify the vehicle files to act like c4 knife it and it returns... though that may take some work and might not work.... also like mentioned not a good idea is it would allow some one to assault with a TOW or a no down side minigun.

Heh, I suspected that Warbrand was removing stuff about binoculars, cause I spent 10 minutes trying to find the thread about it earlier.
