OK, don't know if the headline describes my suggestion correctly but here is the idea: Maps could have "strong points" or certain areas could have tactical features. For example map 2 has lot of "undeveloped" areas. The fighting almost never goes to north map 2. Places like this could be good for these infra areas to be located. For examples the area could have mortar squad, missile turret, temporary airfield, etc. The team holding these areas would get to use "cheats" for a while and keep a bonus after the initial takeover party is done. Something like after taking mortar squad location your team would get 8 mortar strikes to be called by anyone in the team, but these would only be available for one minute. After the frenzy your team would still get 1 extra mortar round with every promotion of rank (so instead of getting two per rank, you would get three) as long as the position is being held. Don't know about the other area bonuses, maybe airfield owner could call in paratroopers? And missile turret could "block" part of the map where enemy cant call in paratroopers? The special missions would just be that the player (or in multiplayer only one or two player would get the same mission) is assigned to take over one of the tactical points. Would get something like 5 bots to come with you even if you would not have rank for them and a time limit to take the place (3-5mins?). Of course the place could be taken without having a mission, but only successful mission would give player an extra +500 points. |
