Oh btw, start_server command supports a few things more, at least now in 0.83.

Code:
<command
   class="start_server"
...
   comment="Hey, this is a comment!"
   url="http://modulaatio.com"
...

Currently, comment is displayed in the server browser in-game. I'm sure the URL will be used in there eventually as well, to open the system default web browser and point it to the given URL.

Both are in use in the web server list at http://serverlist.modulaatio.com

Doesn't seem to work for me, cannot even connect locally. The in-game server works for me, though.

Are you trying to connect to your local server through the serverlist or manual input? Usually you can't connect to a local server using the server list as you need to connect to it with the LAN IP address and the serverlist only knows your WAN IP. Localhost instead of the actual IP will do fine too if it's indeed running in the same PC.

Doesn't seem to work on any IP. Tried IP's like 127.0.0.1 and 192.168.1.1 and my local IP address, no dice. Friends can't connect either. Definitely not a port forwarding issue, though, as other games are working fine on the same ports.

That's certainly unexpected. Any chance firewall would be blocking it? To be honest, sounds a bit strange that it would block it locally though.

Did the server activate all right when you issued the start_server command? If you call status in the console, does it show that one line that network is active?

Hmm... The "status" command reads "network=not active". What can this mean?

Maybe that you didn't run start_server command in the server console (or the equivalent server starting xml command)? DocStone has also said that 0.85.1 seems to suffer from missed commands seemingly from time to time on Windows, maybe related to grouped commands, but if you just type the commands in the console, there shouldn't be such issues.

Tried doing the commands manually. Still "not active".

That's for reference, that's how it works here. If you're doing the same stuff and it's still not active, I can't think of anything else than firewall blocking rwr_server.exe on your PC and denying UDP hosting.

It works now. Forgot to change extension on "start_server.xml" from ".txt". I feel really stupid now! Thanks for the help.
