I did it a while ago, but what IF I DON'T WANT to use steam for playing nor for updates? :? How should I proceed then?

There is no alternative, I'm afraid. I don't see what's wrong using Steam honestly... If you are afraid about privacy just put your profile "private".
If it's about DRM, RWR doesn't have any DRM on Steam either.

No, Jack, the privacy doesn't bother me, nor DRM, I said before why do I think in that way in this thread.
Anyway, honestly Steam would be a last resort. :mrgreen:

I find that interesting as originally i bought the game knowing that i would have to run it in Steam, which to be honest i really don't like. However it turns out that you don't need to have steam open or running to play RWR. It updates fine and i have never had problems with it.
