The Desura client version has an issue with some of the resources that were renamed, I'm investigating it with Desura, and can only hope they have a solution to it which can be applied within a few days. Because of that, you should use the standalone 0.73 version downloadable at http://www.desura.com/games/running-with-rifles on the right of the page after you log in, AS SOON AS Desura approves it. Was hoping it would be already approved, but still waiting.
